My air conditioner has been leaking freon since installation. Jim fixed the issue with six dollars worth of parts. This company really knows their business. Service was same day, cost-effective and very professional. I recommend them highly.

One of my neighbors recommended Jim Kopp at South County Air and mentioned several other neighbors have used him and felt he was fair and reasonable. .

I had already had somebody I found on the internet (DC Air-conditioning) come out. He told me I needed a new evaporator coil $1399 and was really trying to get me to buy a new air-conditioner for about $3900 which was actually too small for my house (smaller than the one I had). I had to pay this guy $179 for this advice. He did nothing and after he left, my air did not work at all! At least it worked intermittently before.

I called Jim Kopp at South County Air and spoke with him regarding the A/C over the phone. I learned lots about air-conditioners from Jim. He wanted to come out and diagnose my problem, FOR FREE. He was able to come the very next day. I liked him right away. Jim was kind and seemed honest and knowledgeable. He first worked in the garage by the furnace and changed a fuse and checked out everything. He showed me where some wires were connected incorrectly which caused it to not run properly. He came inside and installed the thermostat my husband bought. He then climbed out on the steep hill to work on the air-conditioner unit. Jim had to go back and forth to his truck and preferred to climb the hill rather then the easier way, through my house. I had towels set up, but sure did appreciate him not going back and forth in my house. He had lots of equipment to check for leaks, etc. He replaced several parts on the air-conditioner unit and explained the problem with each. He also showed me a connector that was not connected tight enough and was shorting out the air. He gave me the old parts. I was so glad he had all these parts in his truck! Then, we went inside, turned it on and IT WAS WORKING!!! And, guess what--it was $400 NOT $3900!!! I hugged him!

I would really recommend you all use Jim @ 361-2247. I will definitely use him again!
